Another LAMP 83 Expertise: Human Centric Lighting®
It makes a big difference to set out with a lighting design that is suitable for the needs by using the effect of light on people in a planned and positive way.
In order to provide both energy efficiency and positive impact on people in the long term, a lighting design prepared in comply with Human Centric Lighting® concept should include proper implementation processes as well as a holistic lighting and area planning approach. The way the lighting is applied and the effect of the light should be included in the planning process from the very beginning of the project and attention should be paid to ensure that all components of the system are coordinated with each other when the system is started to be used.

A lighting system that works in comply with of Human Centric Lighting® should meet all possible needs of people regarding light.
1st. Step: Defining the Project Data
LAMP 83 considers the visual, emotional and biological expectations regarding the lighting system as well as the properties of the space while designing projects in comply with the Human Centric Lighting® concept and also gathers the project starting data according to all these information.
Creating a good visual perception simplifies work and all visual tasks. While working on the visual aspect of light for a correct project, parameters such as legal frameworks and norms, minimum illuminance levels required in accordance with international criteria in various activities and fields of work should also be taken into consideration.
Apart from architectural, aesthetic, functional and psychological perceptions, criteria such as the expectations of users are also among the emotional effects of light to support the comfort of people. One of the most important objectives is to create a liking for the user in terms of emotional point of view and to achieve a soft light effect that does not tire the eyes.
The biological effects of light, like emotional effects, should also be carefully considered and planned. Thanks to the effect of light on the circadian rhythm, Human Centric Lighting® supports both more productivity during the day and a better sleep, in other words “rest”, at night. The same biological effects also encourage increased attention and awareness for a short time.
In terms of lighting, the main function of the space, the purpose and duration of the different departments, energy efficiency, compatibility with the automation system to be installed or already installed, such possible situations and expectations regarding the project should be well studied.
LAMP 83’s Human Centric Lighting® system ensures that the design is made with the right data and the right target by determining necessary steps for all the main criterias and sub-details from the very beginning of a project.
2nd. Step: Lighting Design Focussed on Humans
With LAMP 83's more than half a century of experience and expertise in the lighting industry, all the possible effects of light in terms of visual, emotional and biological aspects and their interactions with each other are taken into consideration while the Human Centric Lighting® concept is at the design stage. Compared to the standard designs of conventional static lighting, the Human Centric Lighting® concept is differentiated with its dynamic light design and long-term perspective and the desired targets are to be achieved. The visual, emotional and biological effects of light are aimed to be permanent and positive. In this way, the lighting system is implemented and operated long-term and beneficial for people, within the direction of the designer.
In the concept of LAMP 83’s Human Centric Lighting® all aspects of the lighting project is considered very carefully within the framework of multi-directional perspective and determined goals, such as size, power and beam angles of the products to be used; design of a custom-made product if it’s needed; determination of the locations and directions of the selected products over the space; verification of the outputs to be obtained as a result of the calculations made by lighting simulation programs and checking the products to work in full compliance with the automation system that is already or to be installed in the building. This ensures that the result is a complete lighting design.
3rd. Step: Offer and Purchase Stages.
Having reached an agreement between the customer and LAMP 83 on the designed lighting project, the quoting and purchasing stages are started quickly.
LAMP 83 creates an easy-to-understand & complete lighting project which includes all components and presents it for customer’ approval. After the proposal is approved by the customer, the production process started by LAMP 83 is completed in the shortest possible time and all products related to the system are made ready for delivery at the LAMP 83 factory.
4th. Step: Assembly Phase
LAMP 83, which delivers the Human Centered Lighting® system to its customers completely with all its components, does not actually install products. However, aiming unconditional customer satisfaction, LAMP 83 solves the details required for easy assembly of products during the design process. Apart from that, the schematic design, application, project support and supervision required for the assembly of the products labeled according to the project codes or pose numbers, if any, and orientation for the right directions are supplied.
5th. Step: Testing and Starting The System
After the physical and electrical mounting are completed, the Human Centric Lighting® system is tested and then started.
The expert team of LAMP 83 tests the whole system to make sure that all products and elements in the lighting system will work in harmony with each other and that all the tasks requested from the lighting system are performed completely. They make sure that processes such as addressing, function, task definition, creating the desired scenarios according to the time periods of the day, and uploading them to the system as a whole, are all completed and ready to use.
6th. Step: After-Sales Service
There is a lighting strategy behind the LAMP 83’ Human Centric Lighting® system, including application scenarios. In this strategy, which is determined by the data obtained from the analysis of usage needs, it may be necessary to make changes according to the needs that could become different over time.
LAMP 83, within the scope of system maintenance agreements signed by its customers; not only controls the entire system, the functions and working conditions of the products within certain periods with the remote connection method, but also activates the scenario changes that need to be made in the future according to possible new needs by uploading them to the system.
While implementing the Human Centric Lighting® system, LAMP 83 acts according to the principles of providing total quality and unconditional customer satisfaction as they have always been since 1963 and creates a difference by providing unconditional customer satisfaction and happy experiences ever since the day that system was used for the first time.
